Paris Film Trail Gainsbourg [Parcours Cinéma dans Paris N°11] by City of Paris
In 1958 Serge Gainsbourg met the songwriter, author and jazz trumpeter Boris Vian,
who aroused his enthusiasm for songwriting. This scene was shot just below the Sacré-Coeur in Montmartre,
at the junction of the Rues André del Sarte, Paul Albert and Charles Nodier.
The railings in the background surround the Square Louise Michel, a garden laid out in 1927
that covers over 20,000 sq m on the slope of the Butte Montmartre.
Boris Vian lived not far from here, in the Cité Véron near Place Blanche.
