AD: How did the fear of the imitation leave you?

LC: It was necessary to avoid the caricature and invent from her. But since I had her agreement, my look has changed. I have been attentive to all what I liked in her. Her incredible energy, especially. The voice, I did not work it. The intonations are come all alone without making any efforts.

Laetitia Casta: Il fallait éviter la caricature et inventer à partir d’elle. Mais, du moment que j’avais son accord, mon regard a changé. J’ai pu être attentive à tout ce que j’aimais en elle. Son énergie incroyable, surtout. La voix, je ne l’ai pas travaillée. Les intonations sont venues toutes seules, sans que je fasse d’efforts.
