Interpreting a living icon like Brigitte Bardot?

"In the beginning I had said no, it's like putting your feet in the s..." Laetitia Casta says in her colored Italian. "Then I realized that it would be interesting." So it was a blond and sulky version of BB, in Serge Gainsbourg, heroic life, the very expected movie just released in France about the musician-poet-myth and his numerous women.

Beautiful and radiant after the third pregnancy (Athena was born five months ago), herself an icon (as Bardot was Marianne, representation of the French Republic on coins, stamps and busts in marble), spent on the set of the film just four days.

Bellissima e splendente dopo la terza gravidanza (Athena è nata cinque mesi fa), a sua volta un'icona (come Bardot è stata Marianne, rappresentazione della republica francese su monete, francobolli e busti in marmo), ha trascorso sul set del film appena quattro giorni.

"Sufficient to learn," she says, "a different idea of seduction. Today it is approved and has always a precise aim. Brigitte Bardot was rather mysterious. Mi ha raccontato che avrebbe voluto sedurre tutto, uomini, donne, anche questo tavolo. Non avevo molto tempo, sapevo che la mia bellezza un giorno se ne sarebbe andata e volevo approfittare di tutto, degli uomini più belli del mondo e di me. Mi sono molto divertita a giocare con questo concetto. D'altra parte non avrei potuto prendermi sul serio. Come si fa a interpretare sul serio B.B.? E uno dei volti più famosi del cinema".

LC: Yes, I did not know her, but I called her because I wanted that everything is clear with her.

AMS: Do you find her seductive? Does she embody the French femininity?

LC: I do not know, I look at men, not women. She reminds me of a cat, you never know what's going to do, she is unpredictable. But why continue to ask me about Carla Bruni? I interpreted Bardot.

LC: I do not copy anyone. I do not follow a model in the series. Anyway, a story begins alone, not because one behaves in a certain way.

LC: Non copio nessuno. Non seguo un modello in serie. E comunque una storia comincia da sola, non perché uno si comporta in un certo modo.

LC: Uno che si assume le proprie responsabilità e ama le cose belle, la famiglia, gli amici: ha bisogno di vita vera oltre che di fare film o teatro. E libero. Non mi piacerebbe stare con un uomo normale.

AMS: Is Stefano Accorsi not normal?

LC: No, because he tries to do the things you dream about. I do not want the perfect father, I want a man alive and he is alive. He is also handsome. More in photos than in the daily life, I must admit.
