The City of Paris published the pocket guide Paris Film Trail Gainsbourg issue 11 for lovers of Paris and the Cinema. |
Extract:
"Brigitte Bardot pays Serge a visit."
From 1966 to 1967 Gainsbourg lived in a studio on the 5th floor of the Cité Internationale des Arts,
a building facing the Ile Saint-Louis at 18 Rue de l’Hôtel de Ville.
This foundation accommodates artists from all over the world in 315 bedsit-studios
(283 in the Marais, 32 in Montmartre) for periods of two months to a year.
Since it opened in 1965 it has welcomed over 15,500 artists working in all disciplines
(painting, photography, video, music, etc.). They are either nominated by institutions that have leased a studio or
selected individually after submitting an application. The Cité des Arts regularly stages exhibitions and concerts. ![]()
Avec Gainsbourg (vie héroïque), le parcours Cinéma dans Paris by la Mairie de Paris [City of Paris]
also includes the Joann Sfar's interview where he reveals some clues of filmmaker about the Port de Montebello...
... or the corridor of the Cité des Arts where BB appears for the very first time in the movie.
